FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if the number of golfers changes?
The number of golfers can change at any time up to the 15-day final payment date. After this date if the number goes up, Kettle Hills will do its best to accommodate extra tee times either before or after the original scheduled start time. If the number of golfers goes down, Kettle Hills must have enough notice to re-sell the tee times to the public. There is no refund for no-shows.
What if it rains?
If the course is open, outings will golf as scheduled. In the event of inclement wether or course closing as determined by Kettle Hills, outings will be rescheduled or rain checks will be issued for the number of prepaid golfers. Cash refunds will not be issued.
Who is responsible for motorized carts?
Damage to any of the carts assigned to a group outing is the responsibility of the driver as well as the event coordinator who has signed the group contract. Golfers must be 18 years old with a valid driver's license to drive motorized carts.
Can we bring our own beverages?
Absolutely no carry-on beverages will be allowed on the course per Wisconsin State Statute 8.21. Both the golf course and the customer can be held liable. Anyone violating this law will be removed from the course without refund. Kettle Hills strictly enforces this state law and outings will not be invited back if problems occur due to any carry-on beverage.
Do you have a separate banquet area and how many people does it hold?
Kettle Hills has a private banquet room and deck with seating for 250+ people. The private bar and banquet room can seat up to 72 people. The large covered deck can be enclosed to protect from weather or open to overlook the golf course. Included with the bar and deck are table linens and a bartender. Gratuity is up to the outing coordinator and/or the guests. There is a 40-person minimum to rent the banquet area.
How does it work if we want to provide drinks for our golfers?
Kettle Hills will customize a drink package that fits the particular needs of each outing. If an outing chooses to run an open tab, all drinks will be tallied. If there is a limit to the number of beverages included in an outing package, tickets will be given up to the golfers to keep track. Some outings have restrictions on what is available with tickets. For example: non-alcoholic beverages only, no liquor, domestic beverages only ($3.00 and less). Regardless of what is included in a package, all tabs must be paid on the day of the outing unless a special arrangement was made prior to the outing date.
Can we do events and how do we know which holes to put them on?
Kettle Hills has many event markers. Please reserve them with the pro shop as there are sometimes multiple outings on a busy day. If you need suggestions as to which holes are better for different events, please contact the pro shop. The golf pro, pro shop workers or any manager on duty is knowledgeable about the course and can make suggestions. When the first group in your tee time outing tees off, the starter will send along the event markers and he will remind the last group to pick them up. The event markers will be put on the course by Kettle Hills staff for shotgun outings.
Can I bring a ride along or caddie?
No. Anyone on the course must be a paid golfer with his or her own set of clubs.
What is a scramble?
A scramble is a fun format for a foursome to end up with one group score. Scrambles keep the pace of play flowing and often even out player ability for outings with different skill levels. In a scramble, each golfer tees off. The foursome then decides which ball is in the best position to reach the green or cup. All four golfers then move their balls to this spot and hit the balls from there. The golfers continue until the team is done with the hole and record a team score. Usually each golfer must use two drives in an 18-hole round.
What is the gift certificate that is included in the outing price?
The rate per person includes a one dollar credit for use in the pro shop towards merchandise. The gift certificate can be divided up in any increment. Some outings use the gift certificate as one or more prizes. Others use the gift certificate to purchase merchandise to use as prizes.
